About OmniBus:

OmniBus is a bus safety company offering a suite of products all related to bus safety. We plan to offer varying plans addressed to the needs of both schools and parents. Our two flagship products are our proprietary bus tracker and onboard camera, designed to ensure the safety of students and help assuage the fears of parents. The tracker, app, and website carry with it several other features designed to comfort parents and keep them as informed as possible. Not only is the bus’ location displayed to registered users, it also shows the name of the driver, the speed of the bus, and the estimated time of arrival until the student reaches their bus stop, after which it stops reporting. We also have several other ancillary products which can be purchased in a larger package. These products include a button underneath the seats allowing students to surreptitiously notify the bus driver if something happens on the bus, and potentially a tv screen on the front of the bus displaying whatever it is the school district wants to display. It is up to the discretion of the school district and parents what to display on rides, which can last for hours as students stare out the window listlessly, waiting for their stop. When surveyed, parents’ number one concern was safety, narrowly topping bus tracking and visibility which are all problems that our company is centrally positioned to confront. 90% of parents report both anxiety and fear in relation to their child's wellbeing when on the bus, and data reports that most fights and bullying instances occur on the bus. There are no teachers and no one to protect the students apart from one solitary bus driver concerned entirely with not crashing and following their route. While we may be a for profit company, the culmination of our efforts boil down to the safety of kids on their bus ride to and from school. We want the parents to be more comfortable, the school to be more confident, and for the students to be safer.
